Senator Ned Nwoko was among dignitaries who attended an Iftar dinner hosted by the Chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum, Hope Uzodinma of Imo State, marking a meaningful moment of reflection and unity.

The event, which brought together key political and religious figures, emphasized the shared commitment to values that strengthen society.

In a post on Facebook, Senator Nwoko highlighted the significance of Ramadan, noting that much like other spiritual seasons observed by different faiths, it called for deep reflection, sacrifice, and a recommitment to faith and compassion.

He drew parallels between Ramadan and similar periods in Christianity, such as Lent and Easter, which also emphasized humility, kindness, and service to others.

“These sacred seasons of fasting and prayers, regardless of our religious backgrounds, remind us that love, peace, and service to humanity are the values that bind us together,” Nwoko said.

“As leaders, it is our duty to ensure that governance reflects integrity, fairness, and a genuine desire to improve the lives of our people.”

The Senator expressed gratitude to the Chairman and other guests for an evening of meaningful dialogue, offering well wishes renewed strength, blessings, and peace to the nation and beyond during this sacred time.

He emphasized the importance of fostering unity and working towards a more just and inclusive world through shared devotion and commitment to humanity’s greater good.
