Christians have been reminded that their journey of life is meaningless if they cannot be remembered for their good deeds by the time they depart this earth.
The Zonal Coordinator, Ika Zone 2, Church of God Mission International, Reverend Donatus Gheghor, made the remark at Owa Alero, Ika North East Local Government Area, during the funeral service for the late Vice President of the Owa Alero Development Union, Dr. Dennis Agbomah.

Reverend Gheghor said everyone on earth was created in the image and likeness of God and should be guided by that singular fact in acts and utterances, bearing in mind that there would be accounts of how everyone lived to be followed by judgement before God.
He noted that the commentaries on and tributes to the late Dr. Dennis Agbomah showed that he lived well and dedicated his life to the service of God and humanity, encouraging the bereaved family and others he left behind to take solace in the disciplined and upright life he lived, believing that he had gone to be with his creator.

In an emotion-laddened tribute to her late husband, the widow, Mrs Ifeoma Onyeoma Okobia-Agbomah, quoting Karen White said: “If tears could build stairways and memories a lane, I’d walk back up to heaven and bring you home again”.
Mrs Agbomah said her late husband meant different things to different people, but represented everything to her, adding that he was given to humility and forgiveness, and his family love superlative, not allowing room for any lack.

She stated that she met her late husband many years ago merely as Mr. Dennis Agbomah, popularly called Denco; a highly respected young accountant with good knowledge of the job, but with little educational background, who, by dint of hard work, stirred the giant in him and continued his self sponsored University educational pursuit alongside a high sense of family building.
“Your marriage to me also got you ‘married’ to my entire family and friends without any atom of discrimination, just as I do to yours irrespective of the many challenges that sometimes crept into our ways.

“Even when you were at the ‘departure lounge’ mum, I could hear the echoes of “Honey, I hope you are good”. I imagine, till now, that you clearly understood why perhaps I may not have responded to you at that last minute of your sojourn here because our appearance, language and pattern of speech had changed.
“Honey, let me stop here to disallow tears from continually dropping from my eyes as I assure you that your legacy as a strict disciplinarian will continue to guide our children and I for as long as we await a reunion with you in heaven. Adieu, Honey, Dr. Comrade, Professor Denco, Dennis J. Agbomah”, the widow concluded.
The Board of Trustees of the Owa Alero Development Union (ODU) and the Governing Council of the Delta State Polytechnic, Otefe, Oghara, also paid tributes to the departed Denco, after which his family and friends filed pass the casket bearing his remains.

Internet followed at his residence in Owa Alero.
The funeral was attended by the State Deputy Governor, Sir Monday Onyeme; the member representing Ika North East in the State House of Assembly, Hon Marilyn Okowa-Daramola; her Ika South counterpart, Hon Festus Okoh; the Commissioner for Works (Rural Roads) and Public Information, Mr Charles Aniagwu; the Ika nationality representative in DESOPADEC, Mrs Cordelia Anyangu; members of the Governing Council and management of the Delta State Polytechnic, Otefe Oghara, the clergy and worshippers of Church of God Mission Int’l, Agbor and Asaba, among others.
