The leadership of Delta Grassroots Network (DGN), has called on members of the group to attend the groundbreaking ceremony for the Kwale Free Trade Zone scheduled for Tuesday, 11th November, 2025.
The organization, in a statement signed by its Founder, Hon Chuks Frank Asuai; also urged political and community leaders, as well as sons and daughters of Ndokwa nation, to show solidarity with the groundbreaking by attending the ceremony.
DGN commended the State Governor, Rt. Hon Elder Sheriff Oborevwori, for siting the Free Trade Zone in Kwale, which it noted would boost the socioeconomic life of the area and the state at large.
DGN specially thanked the MD of the DSEZ, Pastor Godwin Akpovie, for effectively managing the agency and working hard to attract investors nationwide to the Free Trade Zone to help diversify the state’s economy, boost revenue generation and create jobs for lots of Deltans from within and outside the Ndokwa nation .
It described the planned groundbreaking as a bold step toward strengthening the organization for better service delivery.
The groundbreaking, according to a statement by the MD/CEO of the Delta Special Economic Zone, Pastor Godwin Akpovie; who is also the Chairman, Planning Committee, will be performed by Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.
