The Chairman, Delta Trust Mortgage Bank Ltd, Hon. (Dr.) Jude Omena Ogbimi, has won the ‘2025 Innovation and Purposeful Leadership Award in Africa’ and awarded an Honorary Fellowship of the Institute of Debt Recovery Practitioners of Nigeria, IDRPN.
The award, which was presented to him in Abuja recently, was in recognition of his outstanding contribution to debt recovery, financial prudence and management.
Receiving the award, Hon. Ogbimi expressed gratitude to God and dedicated the award to his family, the Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, immediate past Governor, Sen. (Dr.) Ifeanyi Okowa, and the entire management and staff of Delta Trust Mortgage Bank.

He disclosed that the bank had become an enviable mortgage institution in Nigeria under his leadership and pledged to continue to contribute to financial governance.
The leadership award conferred on him, as well as the honorary IDRPN fellowship, underscore his commitment to transforming the bank into a leading mortgage bank to attain national status and recognition in Nigeria.
Ogbimi’s leadership of the Delta Trust Mortgage Bank has undergone significant transformation as the bank’s revenue has surged by over 300% following an aggressive marketing campaign and targeted expansion strategy.
The former Lawmaker has consistently emphasized the importance of accountability and transparency in the bank’s operations so as to achieve its set goals.
His vision to make Delta Trust Mortgage Bank a dominant force in the mortgage banking sector, aligns with Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s MORE Agenda.

The bank’s initiatives, including National Housing Fund loans and Retirement Savings Accounts, are designed to benefit civil servants, councillors, and local residents.
Ogbimi’s leadership has also been marked by efforts to collaborate with local governments to leverage the bank’s enhanced role in infrastructural development.
