New ASACCIMA Exco Holds Inaugural Meeting

The new executive of the Asaba Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (ASACCIMA) has held its inaugural meeting at the City Chamber’s office in the core area of Asaba.

In her opening remarks, the President of the association, Hon (Chief) Chinwe Monu-Oduah, congratulated the members on the emergence from the election held during their recent Annual General Meeting (AGM).

Hon (Chief) Monu-Oduah said the meeting was basically for the members to familiarize with one another and for the exco to set agenda for the realization of set objectives.

The Obi Nwanyi, who was a former member of the Delta State House of Assembly and one-time Commissioner for Commerce and Industry in the state, revealed that short, medium and long term plans would be developed beyond Commerce to other mandate areas of the association, including Industry, Mines and Agriculture.

She said pursuant to the realization of set goals, ASACCIMA under her watch would collaborate with the Niger Delta Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture to be able to leverage on the benefits of the partnership, adding that the International Arbitration Centre of the Chamber would be made functional within the tenure of the present executive.

Hon (Chief) Monu-Oduah reminded the exco members that the task ahead was onerous and urged them to show commitment and dedication to the cause of the body and come up with ideas that would add value to the Chamber’s activities.

The Obi Nwanyi assured that she would run an open – door administration and carry everyone along in the spirit of team work.
