The leadership of the Delta State Police Officers’ Mess has congratulated Mr. Olufemi Abaniwonda, who has been Commissioner of Police in the state, on his elevation to the exalted rank of Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG).
In a congratulatory message shortly after he was decorated with his new rank, the Chairman of the Mess, Chief Uju Udeme; described the promotion as a well deserved reward for hard work.
Chief Udeme said the Mess had keenly followed the crime fighting strategies of Olufemi Abaniwonda as CP and was delighted with the numerous achievements recorded, culminating in a drastic reduction in crime rate in Delta State.
He noted that Abaniwonda also instilled discipline in the rank and file of the State Police Command, ensuring that the Police not only carried out their duties professionally, but also remained a cordial relationship with the populace.
Chief Udeme, on behalf of the executive and members of the Mess, wished AIG Abaniwonda more elevations in his tour of duty and prayed God to protect and guide him in his new position.
