The second half of the year 2025 interventions of the Engr Chief Chris Chukwurah Green Energy Foundation (ECCCGEF), has commenced with the presentation of 25 economic trees to the Obuzor of Ibusa, Obi Prof Louis Nwaoboshi.
The economic trees, including
avocado pear, native pear, cashew, mangoe, guava, pepper fruit and shawachop, were meant to be distributed to Ibusa village heads for planting and nurturing.
The Desert Warrior, Dr Newton Jibunor, joined the President of ECCCGEF, Engr Chief Chris C. Chukwurah, in the presentation on Wednesday 22nd July 2025, at the palace of the Obuzor.
In his remarks on the occasion, the Obuzor, who is a renowned retired Professor of Forestry & Wildlife from University of Ibadan, welcomed the ECCCGEF team and expressed delight that the Foundation was passionately committed to the fight against climate change.
The traditional ruler, who received said he predicted the phenomenon of climate change in the 1980s sequel to his observation on the devastation of the Amazon Forests in Brazil.
The Obuzor, who received copies of the Anthology of Poems on Climate Change and The Journal of Total Quality Environment and Green Energy, urged the Desert Warrior, Dr Newton Jibunor, to hold tight to the President of ECCCGEF and be a good Patron to the Foundation.
Also speaking, the Desert Warrior said he was happy that the Foundation was doing well, and promised to continue to inspire the Foundation to solve global climate crisis in excellent ways, as demonstrated by the Foundation in its various practical interventions and worthy publications.
The Asaba Branch of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, led by their Technical Secretary, was also on hand to partner with ECCCGEF in order to earn points in Group Dynamics of their professional body.
