Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, has been commended for following up on his policy pronouncements which has made the past two years of his administration a huge success.

His Senior Policy Adviser, Rt. Hon (Chief) Funkekeme Solomon, who gave the commendation while speaking with Journalists on the second anniversary of the Governor in office, said he had remained consistent with the implementation of his policies and programmes.

Rt. Hon Solomon, a former Deputy Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly and one-time Commissioner for Works, noted that Governor Oborevwori at the inception of his administration promised to continue with the projects and programmes of his predecessor, which he had kept faith with.

The former Director General of the PDP Campaign Organization for the 2019 and 2023 Governorship elections also praised the Governor for keeping to his promise to restore the lost glory of the oil city of Warri, with the ongoing construction of flyovers and massive flood control projects.

The Ojobo-born political tactician praised Oborevwori’s continuity of the empowerment programmes inherited from his predecessor, pointing out that thousands of Deltans, especially the youths, had been equipped with entrepreneurial skills for self reliance and job creation.

He said the Governor also reformed the civil service, ensured training and retraining of all caders of workers and enhanced the welfare of the workforce with the implementation of the new minimum wage, among other incentives.

According to him, the Governor’s revival of SERVICOM was a significant milestone in improving service delivery in the Ministries, Departments and Agencies for which he deserved commendation,
