The Asagba of Asaba, His Royal Majesty, Asagba Prof Epiphany Azinge, SAN, has solicited the support and cooperation of his subjects in moving the community forward.
He made the call when a delegation of Umuosiiigo family, Ugbomanta quarters, paid him a courtesy visit.
Asagba Prof Azinge emphasized that the task ahead was enormous and required the collective involvement of all sons and daughters of Asaba to navigate.
The Asagba advised against factionalization of families under any guise, as it was inimical to progress, insisting that with mutual understanding and through dialogue any issue could be amicably resolved.
The traditional ruler of high repute noted that the Umuosiiigo family was divided and urged the three factions to sink their differences and come up with proposals that would facilitate the resolution of the contentious issues.
He said he would continue to preach peace and unity in his kingdom, as they were key to unlocking growth and development, stressing that division would not be allowed under his watch.
Asagba Prof Azinge thanked the family for their support so far and urged them not to relent.
In a letter addressed to Asagba Prof Azinge and read by Ogbueshi Frank Okolotu, the Diokpa of Umuosiiigo family, Ogbeawo village, Ugbomanta, Ogbueshi Ike Chijindu, congratulated him on his ascension to the throne and prayed God to grant him good health, long life and the wisdom to reign over the Asagba kingdom.
