The Minority Leader of the 9th House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu, OON, has congratulated the people of Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency, Delta State, and Nigerians at large on the occasion of this year’s Christmas, urging them to use the period to rekindle their love for one another as well as strengthen their trust in God’s divine intervention in the affairs of humanity.
In his Christmas message on Thursday, December 25, 2025, Rt. Hon. Elumelu noted that the commemoration of the birth of Jesus Christ reminded mankind of God’s unfailing love and provision of eternal solution to the challenges of life, including the problems we faced as a people.
He stressed that the whole essence of Christmas was rooted in love, hope, peace and salvation for humanity and urged the people to consciously imbibe these virtues in their daily living.
According to Elumelu, “love remains the key to lasting peace, forbearance, mutual understanding, sharing and compassion which are the fundamentals of the healthy, stable, safe and thriving society we all yearn for”.
Elumelu stated that meaningful development could only take place in an atmosphere devoid of rancour, hatred and division, adding that societies grew and flourished when people chose forbearance and dialogue over conflict, and generosity over selfishness, therefore encouraging citizens to embrace the spirit of giving, tolerance and peaceful coexistence in order to move the nation forward.
The former Minority Leader assured the people of Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency of his commitment to the welfare and the development of the area, emphasizing that he would continue to prioritise the interest of the people in all his activities.
Elumelu used the opportunity to express appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, for their commitment to the well-being of the people through policy implementation and execution of projects and programmes in Delta State and across the nation.
He urged Nigerians to continue to pray for the nation and to support the APC-led administration, so that the country would maximally benefit from the policies and programmes of the administration.
Elumelu wished the people a merry Christmas, praying that the joy of the season will continue to overflow in their lives.
