A former State Chairman, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Delta State chapter, Chief Edwin Uzor JP, has described the death of Senator Peter Nwaoboshi as a great loss to the political family of the state.
Chief Uzor, who is the Special Adviser to the Governor on Peace Building and Conflict Resolution, noted that Nwaoboshi meritoriously served as a two-time Chairman of the party and left his footprints in the sands of time, and the political family stronger and more united.
The Onwa of Oko kingdom added that the purposeful leadership the deceased gave the PDP during his days inspired many to play politics by the rules, eliciting loyalty and supremacy of the party.
Chief Uzor stated that Senator Nwaoboshi’s political tour of duty and rise to prominence were anchored on a rich political pedigree, selfless service and unwavering commitment to the ideals of democracy.
He said at the National Assembly, where he chaired the Senate Committee on Niger Delta Affairs, the late Oshimili of Akwukwu-Igbo’s impactful service would continue to resonate with encomiums for his strong voice and advocacy for the development of the region and Delta State in particular.
According to Chief Uzor, the late Lawmaker devoted his life to the service of the people, and would be greatly missed by the very many people he touched their lives in his Igbuzor community and beyond.
Chief Uzor prayed GOD to grant the soul of the renowned politician eternal rest and the bereaved family the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.
