Members of the Integrity Group, Ndokwa East Local Government Area, have been urged to strive to live above board and demonstrate, by word and action, that men and women of integrity can be found in politics.
At its inaugural meeting, the Protem Secretary of the Group, Comrade Simeon Nduka; said the gathering marked the birth of a movement of purpose, conscience, and responsibility, adding that It was not just another gathering; but the formal unveiling of a political and developmental movement firmly rooted at the unit level, villages, communities, wards, and the local government at large.
Comrade Nduka recalled that a few concerned and like-minded individuals had been meeting quietly, engaging in deep consultations, planning, and strategic thinking, driven by one shared conviction: that Ndoshimili deserved better leadership, better representation, and better development.
The Protein Secretary noted that from the consistent deliberations emerged a collective resolve to build a formidable platform that would truly serve the interests of the people, and the adoption of the name: “Integrity Group”.
He explained that the name was not accidental; but intentional, because integrity symbolised character, honesty, accountability, and self-discipline, just as it served as a reminder that politics must be guided by conscience and principle.
Comrade Nduka emphasised that the group was not formed to fight any individual or confront any group, but a platform through which members would advocate, engage, and champion the cause of development and the collective well-being of the Ndoshimili people.
“Politics, at its core, is about value—what governance brings to the people and how it improves their lives. Our interest is simple and sincere: the development of our communities, the empowerment of our people, and the progress of Ndoshimili. This is why we have come together—to create an enabling platform that will allow us to pursue these goals effectively and inclusively.
“This movement is grassroots-driven. No one is irrelevant. Every voice matters. Every hand is needed. From the elders to the youths, from the women to the men—each of us has a role to play in shaping the future of this group and achieving its objectives.
“Today, we should count ourselves fortunate to be part of this defining moment. History will remember those who stood at the beginning and chose courage, unity, and integrity over apathy and division.
“I sincerely congratulate everyone present here today for believing in this vision and for taking this bold step towards collective progress. Together, we will build a group that speaks with one voice, acts with one mind, and serves with integrity”, the Protein Secretary stated.
In a keynote address, the Protem Chairman of the Group, Hon. Larry Eduzuka, called for the restoration of the second constituency of Ndokwa East, expressing deep concern over the prolonged neglect and lack of decisive action regarding the restoration, while emphasizing the need for urgent attention to address the matter.
