Asagba Prof Azinge Plays Host to Obi of Aboh Kingdom, Commends His Peace Building Efforts

The Obi of Aboh kingdom, His Imperial Majesty, Dr. Greg Oputa III, has been commended for building bridges of peace in his domain since ascending the throne about a year ago.

The Asagba of Asaba, His Royal Majesty, Asagba Prof Epiphany Azinge, SAN, OON; gave the commendation when the Aboh Monarch visited him with some of his Chiefs.

Asagba Prof Azinge noted that Aboh had remained calm and peaceful due to the strong character and leadership skills of Obi Oputa III, pointing out that the king’s exposure and connections were added advantage to the progress the kingdom had made under his watch.

‎His Royal Majesty expressed delight that the relationship Asaba and Aboh shared since times past had continued to blossom and could only get better given the similarities in customs and traditions of both kingdoms.

The Asagba appreciated Obi Oputa for always keeping in touch with him for exchange of ideas, saying that it was one sure way of building friendship, promoting brotherhood and sharing experience in leadership for the greater good of the people.

He thanked the Aboh Monarch for visiting to congratulate him on his 70th birthday, and to condole the Asaba community over the passing of Odogwu Ahaba, Obi Chief Nwanze Oduah.

Earlier, His Imperial Majesty, Obi Oputa III, said the visit was to congratulate the Asagba on his 70th birth anniversary, who he could not attend due to circumstances beyond his control.

The traditional ruler also used the opportunity to sympathize with the Asagba and the entire Asaba community over the death of Obi Chief Nwanze Oduah, describing him as a prominent Chief and a highly respected traditional warlord who would be greatly missed.

He appreciated Asagba Prof Azinge for sending a delegation to Aboh for his new yam festival and extended an invitation to him for his 60th birth anniversary coming up towards the end of December.
