The people of Ndokwa nation have been urged to remain supportive of the Oborevwori administration of which they are critical stakeholders.
The Chief of Staff, Government House, Hon Prince Johnson Erijo; made the call on Wednesday during a courtesy visit by a delegation of the youth wing of the Ndokwa Neku Union (NNU).
Hon Erijo said since the Ndokwa land had their son as the second citizen of the state, they should not be spectators of the system, but key players, adding that it behoved them to support their own to continue to contribute to the success of the present administration.
The Chief of Staff noted that the Ndokwa Neku Union had remained a foremost sociocultural organisation in the state, and the youth wing, whose election was supervised by the parent body, could not be anything less.
He expressed confidence in the capacity and capability of the youths to come up with fresh ideas that would strengthen the organisation for greater accomplishments, advising that the youth wing should partner with the parent body towards achieving common goals.
Hon Erijo spoke on the issue of insecurity and urged Ndokwa youths to play pivotal role in intelligence sharing and deployment of local technology to effectively combat the menace of herdsmen and kidnapping, in collaboration with the security agencies.
On skills acquisition and empowerment, the Chief of Staff said the Oborevwori administration was committed to meaningfully engaging the youths through some designated Ministries, Departments and Agencies, and urged them to take advantage of the various programmes available.
Earlier in his remarks, the leader of the delegation and National Youth Leader of the NNU, Youth Wing, Comrade Uduogwu James Ojeke; said the visit was to seek closer collaboration with the state government.
He commended Governor Sheriff Obborevwori for his youth-friendly policies and programmes and pledged the continued support of Ndokwa youths for his administration.
