Onyeme, Present, Past State Assembly Members, Community Leaders Mourn As Ifemeni Is Buried At Onicha-Ukwuani

​The Deputy Governor of Delta State, Sir Monday Onyeme, FCA; Hon. Charles Emetulu, Hon. Emma Okoro, Hon. Kris Njokwuemeni, Hon. Akpodiogaga Emeyese, Rear Admiral Mike Onah, OON (rtd) were among dignitaries who were at Onicha-Ukwuani, Ndokwa West Local Government Area, to bid the pioneer Majority Leader of the State Legislature, Hon. Aneke Ifemeni a final farewell.

​The Deputy Governor, in an emotion-laddened message to the family, said, “we recognize and eternally appreciate Ifemeni’s indelible contributions, particularly his historic role as the first Majority Leader of the Delta State House of Assembly.

​”Chief Ifemeni’s wisdom and dedication to the upliftment of our community and our state will be greatly missed.

​”We pray that the Almighty God grants you, the immediate family, the courage and fortitude to bear this irreparable loss”.

​Hon. Aneke Ifemeni, until his death, was Senior Special Assistant to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori on Agricultural Matters.

​He was reputed for the promotion of the cultivation of coconuts.

​Popularly known as Ezeadiebuo, Hon. Ifemeni was the Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of Ifemod Nigeria Limited, a company that was into several businesses, including management of artists, and owner of the famous Ifemod House, then on Allen Avenue, Lagos.

​He died at the age of 65 years.
