APC youths from all the wards in Oshimili South Local Government Area of Delta State, on Saturday, participated in a solidarity walk in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Obborevwori.

The youths, numbering over one thousand, converged on Government Model Secondary School, at DBS junction, Asaba, as early as 7 am, from where they marched through a section of Okpanam road and back, chanting solidarity songs.

The walk was organised by ‘Think Delta First Movement’, otherwise known as ‘Tobe Group’.

Addressing the gathering, the Convener of the group, Sir Tobechukwu Okonkwo; said the solidarity walk was in appreciation of the good governance being delivered by Tinubu and Obborevwori, which had improved the quality of life of the people.

Sir Tobe noted that though it was not yet Uhuru for Nigerians, President Tinubu had mapped out strategies in different sectors of the economy to address the current challenges facing the country, stressing that the youths were quite optimistic that things would get better in years to come.

In Delta, the Convener said Governor Sheriff Oborevwori had continued to prove critics and detractors wrong with his superlative performance in infrastructural and human capital development across the three senatorial districts of the state.

He urged the youths, and indeed Deltans in general, to mobilise support for Tinubu and Obborevwori ahead of the 2027 general election, saying that with Delta and the center now in the same political party, it would be an easy win for the two leaders.

Also speaking, a national leader of the APC in the state, Prof. Leroy Edozien; thanked Tobe Group for the solidarity walk, which he noted was deserving of President Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, hence his participation in the exercise.

Prof. Edozien called on the people of Oshimili South to continue to support the President and Governor Oborevwori for the greater good of the Local Area, and be genuinely committed to their re-election project.
