An Asaba community leader, politician and businessman, Ogbueshi Dada Okonji; has congratulated the Asagba of Asaba, HRM, Asagba Prof Epiphany Azinge, SAN, OON; on his platinum jubilee anniversary.
Ogbueshi Okonji, in a message on the auspicious occasion, described the Asagba as a highly respected, influential and foresighted traditional ruler generally loved by the people of Asaba who voted unanimously on October 5, 2024, to have him as their King.
He noted that so far, Asagba Prof Azinge had remained committed to rewriting the history of Asaba, promoting the customs and traditions of the people and encouraging community development through self-help.
The former Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Oshimili South LGA chapter and CEO, Dada Global Resources Limited, said the nationally and globally connected Monarch had, over the past one year of ascending the throne, prioritised peace, security and reconciliation in Asaba, making the capital city the preferred destination for non indigenes and a safe haven for investment.
Ogbueshi Okonji added that Asagba Prof Azinge had remained a source of pride and inspiration to sons and daughters of Asaba at home and in the diaspora by virtue of his firm belief in transparency and accountability in the management of community resources, which had continued to elicit support for the stool.
He wished the renowned legal luminary and Prof of Law many happy returns of the anniversary and prayed God to continue to keep King strong and healthy, grant him more wisdom and peaceful reign.
