The Chief Press Secretary to the Delta State Governor, Sir Festus Ahon, has been bestowed with a prestigious special recognition award as a friend of the press by Inside-Out Limited, operators of Trend 100.9FM.
The esteemed honour acknowledges Sir Ahon’s unwavering dedication to promoting Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s M.O.R.E. agenda, showcasing his exceptional support for the state’s development initiatives.
He received the award during the 10th-anniversary celebration of Trend 100.9FM in a colourful ceremony held in Asaba on Sunday, which recognizes Sir Ahon’s tireless efforts in highlighting key government projects, including investments in human capital and infrastructural development.
Presenting the award to the Chief Press Secretary, the management of the radio station, noted that Ahon’s contributions had been instrumental in shaping public perception and fostering a positive image of the Oborevwori administration.
Represented by an Assistant Director of Information in the Directorate of Government House and Protocol, Mr. Ivovi Aruoriwo, the CPS expressed gratitude for the recognition, congratulating Trend 100.9 FM on its decade-long commitment to impactful programming and balanced reporting, making it a listeners’ delight.
The Chief Press Secretary, dedicated the award to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, expressing profound gratitude for the opportunity to serve in the administration.
Ahon also acknowledged the collaborative efforts of the Government House press corps and Journalists in the state in his success, as he accepted the honour with humility.
