President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has sacked the nation’s Service Chiefs, announcing the appointment of their replacement with immediate effect.
According to a statement released by the State House, Abuja, General Olufemi Oluyede has replaced General Christopher Musa as the Chief of Defence Staff, while
Major-General W. Shaibu is the new Chief of Army Staff.
Similarly, Air Vice Marshal S.K Aneke has been named the new Chief of Air Staff and Rear Admiral I. Abbas the new Chief of Naval Staff.
Chief of Defence Intelligence, Major-General E.A.P Undiendeye, retained his position.
The President expressed his profound appreciation to the outgoing Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, and other Service Chiefs for their patriotic service and dedicated leadership.
He charged them to justify the confidence reposed in them and further enhance the professionalism, vigilance, and comradeship that defined the Armed Forces of Nigeria.
