The Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, has extended warm felicitations to the former Governor of Delta State, Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan, as he turns 71.
Rt Hon Guwor, who is also the
National Treasurer, Conference of Speakers of State Houses of Assembly, described Dr Uduaghan as a dedicated public servant and visionary leader who made significant contributions to the development of Delta State during his tenure as Governor from 2007 to 2015.
The Speaker, in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Nkem Nwaeke, recalled the years of the celebrant as Commissioner for Health, Delta State, and Secretary to State Government, SSG, saying that his service to the state had been very remarkable.
“Dr Uduaghan’s legacy is inspiring, and his commitment to the progress of Delta State remains an enduring example for many people”, Guwor said.
The Speaker noted that Dr Uduaghan’s achievements in office, including his focus on infrastructure development, healthcare, and education, had a lasting impact on the lives of Deltans.
Rt Hon Guwor also acknowledged the former Governor’s passion for service and his people-centric approach to governance, which earned him a special place in the hearts of Deltans.
The Speaker, on behalf of the Delta State House of Assembly and Constituents of Warri South West, wished Dr Uduaghan a happy birthday, good health, and God’s continued guidance and protection.
“We celebrate you, Sir, and look forward to your continued contributions to our state’s growth and development”, Guwor concluded.
