The management of an Asaba-based radio station, Kruzz 92.9 FM, has announced the commencement of full transmission, having satisfied all the conditions stipulated by the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC).

The General Manager of the station, Mr Lawrence Okpewho, announced this on Wednesday while distributing the station’s stickers to Keke riders at Ibusa road junction, Asaba.

He said the station would inform, educate and entertain the Asaba community and beyond with quality news and programmes and urged residents of Asaba and the environs to make 92.9 FM their first choice on radio.

The GM said the stickers were meant to help create awareness of the station and urged the leadership of the Commercial Motorcycle and Tricycle Operators Association at the Ibusa road junction to ensure that the stickers were well displayed behind the tricycles to be able to send the right message.

Receiving the stickers, the unit Chairman of the Keke operators, Comrade Enemokwu, congratulated Kruzz 92.9 FM Asaba on their successful commencement of full transmission after a period of test running the station.

Comrade Enemokwu challenged the management of the broadcast outfit to strive to succeed where other private radio stations in Asaba failed and compete favourably with the existing stations, assuring that members of the unit would not only tune in to enjoy the programmes of the station, but also use the stickers to advertise the station.

Mr Okpewho was accompanied by the Head of Marketing of the station, Rotarian Kenneth Okwuenu.
