Seven newly promoted officers and twenty – five Marshalls of the Delta State Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) have been decorated with their new ranks having been found worthy for their commitment and dedication to duty.

The ceremony, which was presided over by the State Sector Commander, Corps Commander Fredrick Ogidan, took place at the Command’s Headquarters in Ibusa, Oshimili North Local Government Area

Speaking on the occasion, Corps Commander Ogidan emphasised the core values of discipline, integrity and dedication to duty among officers of the Command, stressing that excellence must not be compromised.

While congratulating the newly promoted officers, the Sector Commander noted that the gesture was a reward for hard work and aimed to boost the morale of the affected officers in the line of duty.

He said promotion was not a one-off thing, but based on performance evaluation, encouraging other officers not promoted to continue to put in their best in service pending when their turns would come.

Corps Commander Ogidan reminded officers and men of the Command of the task ahead of them these Ember months, urging them to take their jobs seriously to ensure the realization of the Corps’ core mandate of reducing Road Traffic Crashes.

Responding on behalf of the decorated officers, Assistant Corps Commander (ACC) Gloria N. Iredia Esq, thanked the Sector Commander and the management team of the Command for elevation, assuring that they would rededicate themselves to duty.

Dignitaries present included the Sector Commander, who was the Chief Host, Deputy Corps Commanders, officers and men, State Coordinator of Delta State Special Marshals, amongst others.
