A renowned real estate magnet, Dr. Augustine Onwumere, the Founding Chairman of Property World Africa Network (PWAN) group, has affirmed that Asaba is truly a safe haven for investment.

Speaking to newsmen at the palace ground of the Asagba of Asaba, His Royal Majesty, Prof Epiphany Azinge, SAN, OON, shortly after leading his team to pay homage during the King’s maiden new yam festival, Dr. Onwumere said the past eight years of the real estate conglomerate in Asaba had been quite successful and rewarding.

He admitted that he had made a lot of money from the business, saying that “Asaba is a home to many Igbo people. From Onitsha, Owerri, all over the place, just two hours journey brings you to Asaba. People are enjoying the land more than the owners; I am one of them. We have a lot of estates, a lot of offices, a lot of people working for us. It’s beautiful, I’m happy”.

The PWAN Founding Chairman revealed that his organization, the largest real estate network in Africa, had lots of opportunities for youths in the real estate business, inviting them to take advantage of his company’s marketing and business fairs nationwide, where they would be exposed to the numerous chances of making money to be able to raise capital to start their own business.

On new yam festival, he maintained that yam remained a unique farm produce, stressing that for the age-long festival to be sustained, agricultural revolution was imperative for mass production of yams, among others, pointing out that he owned a big farm in Lagos engaging a good number of youths and could boast of over 60,000 tubers of yam.

Dr. Onwumere commended Asagba Prof Azinge for his inspiring transformative initiatives and actions, describing him as a humble, unassuming and excellent king of impeccable character and with the sense of direction.

He congratulated the people of Asaba on the right choice of Asagba Prof Epiphany Azinge as their king, noting that his understanding of, respect for, and commitment to promoting the culture and tradition of his kingdom were not only commendable, but also admirable.
