The Indomitable Class ’98 of the Mass Communication Department, Delta State University, Abraka, is set for a memorable reunion scheduled for Friday, 3rd October, to Sunday, 5th October, 2025, in Asaba, the Delta State capital.
The reunion, themed: “Reconnect, Relive, and Reunite”, promises to be an unforgettable experience filled with nostalgia and camaraderie.
A statement by the Chairman of the Planning Committee, Mr Nkem Nwaeke, who is the Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, says the event will feature a business session and a fiesta to celebrate shared memories.
Nwaeke attributed the success of the class members to God’s bountiful grace, noting that many had excelled in various fields, including public service, business, academia, and politics, both locally and internationally.
The reunion, Nwaeke further stated, will provide a valuable opportunity for classmates to reconnect and strengthen their bond 27 years after graduating from the University.
He expressed optimism that the gathering would be a memorable one, given the class’ impressive legacy, which includes producing the Students’ Union Government President, Secretary-General, Public Relations Officer, and Senate Representative.
Nwaeke reflected on the class’ dominance in various spheres during their time in the University, saying, “We are called Indomitable Class because we dominated our world during our time at Abraka.
“I am not sure any class can beat our records in academics, unionism, politics, and other areas.
“The Chairman Planning Committee therefore, invites class members and friends to join the festivities, reconnect with old friends, and relive the University experience.
“Let’s make this reunion one to cherish.
