The Delta State Post Primary Education Board (PPEB), has said the Supplementary Posting/Transfer of its staff this weekend,13th September, 2025, as a follow-up to the ones released on 4th September, 2025, to enable all affected staff to report at their new duty posts on Monday,15th September,2025, still stands

The Executive Chairman of PPEB, Dr Emmanuel U. Tibi, made this known in a circular to counter the cancellation of the posting/transfer by the Commissioner for Secondary Education, Mrs Rose Ezewu.

Dr. Tibi’s circular reads:

RE: CANCELLATION OF SUPPLEMENTARY POSTING/TRANSFER OF POST

PRIMARY EDUCATION BOARD STAFF: POST PRIMARY EDUCATION BOARD DID ITS JOB THAT CANNOT BE CANCELLED EXCEPT BY POST PRIMARY EDUCATION BOARD

It has come to the attention of the Executive Chairman of Post Primary Education Board that the Supplementary Posting/Transfer of PPEB staff this weekend,13th September, 2025, as a follow-up to the ones released on 4th September, 2025, to enable all affected staff to report at their new duty posts on Monday,15th September,2025, has been cancelled.

2. It should be noted that ONLY THE POST PRIMARY EDUCATION BOARD, has the authority and responsibility to post/transfer and discipline PPEB staff. These responsibilities, among others, are carried out procedurally by persons charged with them and so cannot be altered by any non-direct participants in these assignments.

3. All the addressees in this circular are hereby directed to ensure full implementation and compliance with the letters and content of the Supplementary Posting/Transfer of PPEB staff, of 13th September, 2025, please.

Secondary Education Commissioner, Mrs Rose Ezewu, had, in a circular dated 14th September, 2025 (Sunday), addressed to all Principals of Public Secondary Schools, and copied the Post Primary Education Board Zonal Offices, Teaching and Non-Teaching Staff, reversed the Board’s decision.

Her circular reads:

TO: All Principals of Public Secondary Schools

CC: Post Primary Education Board, Zonal Offices, Teaching & Non-Teaching Staff

SUBJECT: CANCELLATION OF SUPPLEMENTARY POSTINGS OF TEACHING, NON-TEACHING, AND VICE PRINCIPALSHIP CADRES

The Honourable Commissioner for Secondary Education, Mrs. Rose Ezewu, hereby directs the cancellation of the supplementary postings of Teaching, Non-Teaching, and Vice Principalship cadre staff earlier released by the Post Primary Education Board on Saturday, 13th September, 2025.

All affected staff are hereby instructed to return immediately to their original places of primary assignment as contained in the initial official posting made prior to school resumption.

Furthermore, any Principal who fails to release affected staff back to their original schools, as directed, shall face disciplinary action in line with extant regulations. Similarly, staff members who disregard this directive will be sanctioned accordingly.

This circular takes immediate effect and must be treated with utmost urgency.
