Osilonya Joins Counterparts in Celebrating Ex-Governor Ifeanyi Okowa’s 66th Birth Anniversary

The Executive Chairman of Ndokwa East Local Government, Hon. Chief Vincent Osilonya, on Tuesday, joined his counterparts, friends, and well-wishers of former Governor Ifeanyi Okowa from within and outside the state in celebrating his 66th birth anniversary.

The colorful celebration, which took place at Okowa’s residence in Asaba, was marked by an outpouring of goodwill, prayers, and tributes from political leaders, traditional rulers, religious leaders, youth representatives, and a cross section of the public.

Speaking on the occasion, Hon. Chief Osilonya described Dr. Okowa as a visionary leader, a compassionate statesman, and a beacon of hope whose contributions to the development of Delta State and Nigeria remained enduring and inspiring.

He said it was a privilege to honor a man whose legacy was deeply woven into the progress of the state, noting that the ex-Governor’s commitment to good governance, youth empowerment, and infrastructural development was unparalleled. 

While stressing that it was not just a celebration of his new age, but years of impact, dedication, and excellence in service, the Ndokwa East Council Boss maintained that 

Okowa, who served as Governor of Delta State from 2015 to 2023 remained a respected figure in Nigerian politics for his humility, strategic leadership, and people-centered governance.

Hon. Osilonya extended warm wishes of continued good health, wisdom, and strength for Dr. Okowa, reaffirming his support and that of the people of Ndokwa East in all future endeavors of the elder statesman.
