As Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa marks his 66th birth anniversary today, 8th July, 2025, the member representing the Ndokwa/Ukwuani Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Nnamdi Ezechi, has joined millions of Nigerians in celebrating the life and legacy of the immediate past Governor of Delta State, whom he described as one of Nigeria’s distinguished public servants.
In a message released earlier today, Hon. Ezechi further described Senator Okowa as a statesman of uncommon brilliance, a father figure, and a political compass, whose wisdom and compassion have shaped lives across the country.
He praised Okowa’s trailblazing contributions from his days as Local Government Chairman, Commissioner, Secretary to the State Government, Governor of Delta State, to his emergence as Vice Presidential candidate.
Hon. Ezechi noted that for him, Senator Okowa remained more than a political icon, but also a mentor and a father whose counsel and support came early and have continued to shape his journey in the public service.
He said “His humility, strength of character, and visionary approach to leadership continue to inspire me and so many others in the Ndokwa/Ukwuani Federal Constituency and beyond.
“I thank God for the life of this great man, and I pray that his years ahead be filled with good health, peace, and renewed strength to keep impacting lives, lifting others, and shaping destinies.”
The lawmaker concluded by wishing the former Governor a happy 66th birthday, emphasizing that “the nation celebrates you”.
