The founder of Delta Grassroots Network (DGN) and former House of Representatives aspirant for the Ndokwa/Ukwuani Federal Constituency, Hon Asuai Chuks Frank, has felicitated ex-Governor Ifeanyi Okowa on his 66th birth anniversary.
In a congratulatory message he issued on behalf of the group, Hon Asuai thanked God for Okowa’s life and accomplishments in the public service where he served in different capacities, including as Governor of Delta State for eight years.
The DGN helmsman and grassroots politician described Okowa’s eight-year tenure as largely impactful, especially in the area of road infrastructure, which earned him the nickname, “Road Master”.
He also noted the ex-Governor’s impressive and remarkable showing in job creation and youth empowerment, which helped to raise thousands of young entrepreneurs currently standing solidly on their own and creating jobs for others.
Hon Asuai, who stated that DGN, as a political support group, had been on ground in the state since 2015 and actively worked with the then ruling party to produce Okowa as Governor, however, regretted that the reward system had yet to recognize and appreciate the group.
He used the opportunity to solicit Okowa’s support, even out of office, while urging Governor Sheriff Oborevwori to carry the group along in the scheme of things.
Hon Asuai prayed God to grant Okowa good health, long life, the strength and wisdom to be of greater service to the state and humanity.
