The leadership and the entire members of the Obomkpa Progressive Union (OPU) Worldwide, have congratulated an illustrious daughter of the soil, Chief Nkem Patience Okwuofu, on her birth anniversary.
OPU Worldwide, in a statement issued by its President General, Comrade Emeka Bidokwu, said they were happy to celebrate a woman and a quintessential leader, who has been in the forefront of Delta politics since the creation of the state, for which she is popularly called “Mother of Government”.
The Union particularly noted the capacity of Chief Okwuofu to mobilize women across ethnic lines in support of government, adding that her mentorship of younger politicians, especially in Aniocha North LGA, has helped to produce a crop of tested and trusted leaders.
The sociocultural organization stated that the celebrant has also contributed immensely to the development of the Obomkpa community, Ezechime clan and the state at large through various engagements.
OPU Worldwide said it would continue to leverage on the counsel and wisdom of Chief Okwuofu, and indeed other community leaders, in moving the Obomkpa kingdom forward and wished her many happy returns of the day.
It prayed God to grant Chief Okwuofu good health, more wisdom, protection and longevity to contribute more to the development of the community, the state and the well-being of humanity.
