In expression of his cherished long-standing relationship with the Nigerian Television Authority, the Asagba of Asaba, His Royal Majesty, Asagba Prof Epiphany Azinge, SAN, OON, has donated a High Definition Digital Video Camera, valued at N4.8 million, to the Asaba station of the broadcast outfit.
The brand new 4K XDCAM PXW-Z90 series camera was presented to the General Manager of the station, Mrs Christy Badung, by Obi Chukwuemeka Ajufo, on behalf of the Asagba, in a brief ceremony at the palace on Monday.
In his remarks during the presentation, Asagba Prof Azinge said it was a promise made and kept, which signified integrity, adding that he appreciated the attachment of a NTA correspondent to the palace and was happy with what she had been able to achieve, through the instrumentality of the station, in projecting the activities of the palace.
The highly respected and influential First Class traditional ruler expressed the hope that the gesture would help to project the palace the more to the national outlet and that his relationship with the television station, which started some years back, would endure for a long time to come.
He said he was full of joy making the presentation, believing that the camera would serve its purpose and be put to good use to the glory of God.
Highly elated General Manager, NTA Channel 11, Asaba, Mrs Badung, after receiving the camera, expressed profound gratitude to Asagba Prof Azinge, on behalf of the Director General of NTA, for the kind gesture, which she said would position the station for more impactful coverage of the palace, the Asaba community and the state at large.
The GM, who was accompanied by the management staff of the station and the palace correspondent, Mrs Helen Dunkwu, said the Asagba had demonstrated genuine love for NTA, integrity and a deep understanding of the workings of the media, promising to utilize the sophisticated equipment to turn in fantastic productions and compelling contents that would help the station to make a mark in television broadcast beyond the shores of the country.
