The Executive Assistant to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori on Inter-Party Relations, Chief Josiah Efe Tobor, has said Delta is a leading state in Inclusive government.

Efe Tobor, while reflecting on the role of the State Director of Protocol (SDOP) Hon Chief Sunday Onoriode, in the smooth running of the Office of the Executive Assistant to the Governor on Inter-Party Relations in the past two years of the Oborevwori administration, noted that all had remained well with the office, making it possible for him to effectively perform his duties.

The EA said interactions, relationships, and dynamics between different political parties in Delta State, in both formal and informal settings, had enhanced cooperation, negotiation and competition between parties, making them active and progressive partners in the government of the state.

He said the SDOP’s friendly disposition had helped to encourage dialogue and cooperation among political parties through constructive dialogue, which in turn encouraged the political parties to build trust, resolve conflicts, and work together on common goals, leading to more effective governance in the state.

Efe Tobor further stated that political parties in the state had found common ground and built consensus on key issues, reducing polarization and promoting more inclusive decision-making, and commended Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for carrying members of the opposition along in the scheme of things more than any other Governor in the county.

The EA expressed implicit confidence in Chief Sunday Onoriode for positioning the inter-party relations office for greater exploits, going forward, assuring him that political parties in the state would continue to cooperate with and support the Governor to deliver on his mandate to the people of Delta State.
