PDP/APC Alignment Will Be Beneficial to All Deltans – Erijo

2024 Councilorship candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State have been assured that the recent political alignment in the state will favour them and indeed all Deltans.

The Chief of Staff, Government House, Asaba, Hon Prince Johnson Erijo, gave the assurance when a delegation of the Councilorship candidates’ Forum paid him a courtesy visit.

Hon Erijo told the former candidates that they were lucky that Delta had aligned with the ruling party which would position the state to benefit appropriately from her significant contribution to the economy of the country as the leading oil producing state.

The Chief of Staff thanked his guests for the visit, which he said was a commendable show of solidarity with the state government that would not be taken for granted.

He described the 2024 Council election in the state as a true reflection of the will of the electorates, noting that the loser would always fault even the most credible election.

Hon Erijo, however, pointed out that subsequent elections in the state would no longer experience a divided house as Deltans would be speaking with one voice.

The Chief of Staff encouraged the former Councilorship candidates to remain steadfast in the pursuit of their political career, and be hopeful that victory would locate them some day.

Earlier in his remarks, the State Coordinator of the Forum, Comrade David Ebikonbowe, commended Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for leading the entire PDP structure in Delta State to the APC, expressing confidence that the move would take the state to a more appreciable level of development.
