A former Chairman of the Oshimili South chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ogbueshi Dada Okonji, has described the mass movement of PDP leaders and members in the state to the All Progressives Congress (APC), as a well thought – out decision in the interest of the state.
Dada Okonji, in an interview with Journalists at the Cenotaph, Asaba, venue of the formal reception of the Governor and the entire structure of the PDP to APC, said the state needed to be in the mainstream of the national politics to be able to benefit appropriately from the developmental initiatives of the Federal Government.
He noted that though the state had done well on the platform of the PDP, the lingering leadership crisis in the party at the national level had made it imperative for the party at the state level to seek a better alternative platform for members to advance their political ambitions.

The former LGA Party Chairman commended Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, former Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, other PDP leaders and stakeholders for the bold and courageous move and solicited the support of party faithful for the new trajectory.
Dada Okonji thanked the national leadership of the APC for the successful reception of the PDP structure and expressed confidence that the realignment would meet the desired expectations.
