Ogbueshi Taju Isichei Urges Oshimili South PDP Ward 5 To Brace Up To The Mass Defection of the Party to APC

Executive Assistant to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori on Community Development, Ogbueshi Taju Isichei, has called on members of PDP Ward 5 in Oshimili South Local Government Area to accept the decision of the party to align with the All Progressives Congress (APC) in good faith.

Ogbueshi Isichei, while addressing a meeting of the ward in Sunday, said the State Governor, Rt. Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, leaders and stakeholders of the party took the decision in the overall interest of the state.

The EA, who is the leader of the ward, cited the leadership crisis in the party at the national level, which had defied amicable resolution, stressing that it would be unreasonable and risky for those who would be seeking elective positions to remain in the party with the 2027 elections fast approaching.

He drew the attention of party faithful to the Zamfara experience where APC won the election, but the Supreme Court awarded victory to PDP because the primary election that produced the APC candidates was supervised by the wrong factional Chairman.

Ogbueshi Isichei further likened the PDP to a broken – down vehicle which could not take the occupants to their destination, explaining that the only option available to the occupants was to join another vehicle to continue with their journey.

The grassroots politician commended Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and other PDP leaders in the state for their courage and boldness to pull out of PDP with the entire structure of the party at all levels and urged members of the ward to join the ‘moving train’ to APC without any exception.

He assured members of the ward that the Governor, as the leader of the party in the state, would protect the interest of loyalists in the new dispensation, and encouraged them to remain supportive of the Oborevwori administration.

The highlight of the meeting was the sponsorship of a motion for the collapse of the ward chapter of the PDP into the APC, moved by the Councillor representing DSIEC ward 6, Hon. Patrick Mordi, seconded by his counterpart of ward 7, Hon. Eromosele Endurance and unanimously adopted when put to a voice vote by the ward leader, Ogbueshi Taju Isichei.

Also, in support of the Governor and the mass defection of PDP to APC, Ogbueshi Isichei, in collaboration with the Organizing Secretary of the ward, Mrs Isioma Nwafajoku, popularly called ‘Nwanyi Agbor’, donated 10 brand new tricycles for the empowerment of youths of the ward.
