The member representing the Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon Ngozi Okolie, has expressed satisfaction with the performance of the Asagba of Asaba, His Royal Majesty, Asagba Prof Epiphany Azinge, SAN, in barely six months on the throne.
Rt. Hon Okolie, while speaking to Journalists at the ground breaking for the Asagba of Asaba Permanent Palace Building over the weekend, disclosed that he supported the emergence of Prof Azinge as the 14th Asagba of Asaba from the onset of the selection process and he had no regrets for that.

The Federal Lawmaker noted that he Asagba had so far done the people of Asaba proud by his actions and reforms from the throne, expressing optimism that His Royal Majesty had the capacity to take Asaba to unimaginable heights.
The Labour Party chieftain, who single handedly pledged to fund the construction of the Permanent Palace Pavilion valued at N500 million, said he was the first to grade the site when it was donated by the Elibujor and Ogbeogo villages in his days as a Director in the Direct Labour Agency and was happy that the foundation of the project had eventually been laid by the Asagba himself.
Rt. Hon Okolie said he was inspired to make the donation by the will of God that he should be involved in the execution of the project, stressing that it was part of efforts to ensure that Asagba Prof Azinge had a peaceful and successful reign.
Also speaking, a former Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Peter Onwusanya, expressed gratitude to God for being alive to witness the historic ground breaking for the Permanent Palace Building.

Rt. Hon Onwusanya said the Asaba traditional system had made it difficult for the community to have a permanent Palace – a narrative that Asagba Prof Azinge had come to change.
He noted that the idea of the Permanent Palace Building was encouraging, and would stand as a legacy for generations to come, help to build a more united Asaba, make the people speak in one voice and further enhance the infrastructural development of the town.
