The Asagba of Asaba, His Royal Majesty, Asagba Prof Epiphany Azinge, SAN, OON, has advocated the forging of linkages and bonds of unity and friendship by traditional rulers in the state.

Asagba Prof Azinge made the call when the Odio – Ologbo of Irri Kingdom, in Isoko South Local Government Area, HRM, Simon Wajutome Odhomo, Igbogidi 1, visited him in his Palace in Asaba.

He said the traditional rulers needed to bind their communities to be able to interact and engage meaningfully with one another.

The Asagba described the visit of the Irri King as a handshake across senatorial district, which had helped him, his Chiefs and staff to learn about the culture, tradition and way of life of Irri people.

His Royal Majesty said the relationship which had been built between him and his guest should not end with the visit, but should advance to a greater partnership that would benefit the peoples of both kingdoms.

While looking forward to when the Irri monarch would pay an official visit to him, the Asagba disclosed that he would reciprocate the visit in the shortest possible time.

Earlier, the Odio – Ologbo of Irri Kingdom, Igbogidi 1, who spoke through his Secretary, Hon Efewoma Otuaga, said the visit was to fraternize with the Asagba, who got the State Exco approval for his kingship same day with him.
