Ndokwa West Council Chairman, Obi Nzete, Takes Ijele Title of Umute Kingdom

The Executive Chairman of Ndokwa West Local Government, Chief Godday Obi Nzete, on Friday, added another feather to his cap with the conferment of the Ijele title of Umute Kingdom, in Aniocha South Local Government Area, on him.

His wife, Esther, was also honoured with the title of Achubadikeofia of Umute Kingdom.

Both titles were bestowed on them by the Okpala of Umute Kingdom, HRM, Obi Chukwuka Nwoye, and witnessed by imminent personalities from Umute and Ndokwa land.

Reeling out the rules of the titles, the Okpala, who spoke through one of his Chiefs, said Chief Nzete must attend palace meetings only in the prescribed traditional attire, he and his wife should not have dinner later than 6pm any day and should not sleep outside of their home except on official engagements.

He congratulated Chief Nzete on his successful taking of the title and urged him to uphold the virtues that earned him the recognition.

The Okpala also appealed to the Council Chairman to use his position of a Chief in Umute Kingdom to attract development to the community.

Responding, Chief Nzete thanked Obi Chukwuka Nwoye, his Council of Chiefs and the entire Umute Kingdom for the honor done him and his wife, promising that they would respect the culture and traditions of the land.
