The Asagba of Asaba, His Royal Majesty, Asagba Prof Epiphany Azinge SAN, OON, has expressed satisfaction with the cordial relationship existing between the State Deputy Governor, Sir Monday Onyeme and the Governor, Rt. Hon Sheriff Oborevwori.
The expression is contained in a congratulatory message to Sir Onyeme on his 60th birth anniversary, wherein the Asagba described him as a humble, loyal and dedicated servant-leader who had contributed immensely to the success, thus far, of the present administration.
Asagba Prof Azinge said it was gratifying to note that the state had remained progressive since the inception of the Oborevwori administration, basically because the Governor and his Deputy had chosen to work together towards achieving a common goal without crossing each other’s path.
The Royal Father stated that Asaba had been better for the peace and development the Oborevwori/Onyeme government had been committed to ensuring and urged the Deputy Governor to continue to bring his sterling qualities to bear in the administration of the state.
The Asagba lauded Sir Onyeme for the value his private and public lives had added to the society, pointing out that “The Monday Onyeme Foundation'” had given hope to the hopeless, while the Deputy Governor had been a source of inspiration to many through his commitment to hard work and selfless service.
He prayed, from the throne, for Sir Onyeme to continue to enjoy peace and happiness in his home and office, and prayed God to grant him good health and more years of service to the state and humanity.
