Executive Assistants to Delta State Governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori have been urged to protect their electoral wards and units from the incursion of the opposition ahead of the 2027 elections.

The Chairman, College of Executive Assistants to the Governor, Ogbueshi Taju Isichei, made the call in Asaba on Wednesday at a meeting of the aides. 

In a communiqué issued at the meeting, the EAs thanked the Governor for his magnanimous discretion in their appointment, which had positioned them as strategic stakeholders in the implementation of his laudable M.O.R.E Agenda.

They resolved to work together to power the M.O.R.E Agenda development policy thrust as envisioned by the Governor, and called for useful insights that would help the government to initiate more socially – beneficial projects for the people.

While suing for oneness and harmony among all appointees at all times, the group congratulated Governor Sheriff Oborevwori on the prestigious and Influential THISDAY/ARISE TV GOVERNOR OF THE YEAR AWARD 

The EAs commended the Governor for his efforts in the leadership of the state so far exemplified by the provision of gigantic projects across the three senatorial districts of the state, payment of pension arrears to retired civil servants at the state and local government levels, prompt payment of workers salaries and entitlements, and human capital development resulting in the empowerment of thousands of Deltans.

The College of EAs, in recognition of the excellent milestones recorded by Governor Sheriff Oborevwori in the past two years, through development of social infrastructure and human empowerment across the three senatorial districts, unanimously passed a vote of confidence in the Governor and pledged overwhelming support for his reelection come 2027.

The confidence vote motion was moved by Otunba Nich Ovuakporie from Delta Central, seconded by Sir Jossy Honnah from Delta North and unanimously adopted.

The communiqué was signed by the Chairman of the College, Hon.Taju Isichei; Secretary, Chief Duncan Ehwere; PRO, Pastor Powell Tos; Welfare Officer, Hon. Nkechi Enumah-Chukura, and Media Officer, Comrade Norbert Chiazor .
