The Director General of the Warri, Uvwie and Environs Special Area Development Agency, (WUEDA) Hon.Prince Godwin Ejinyere, has heartily congratulated the Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, on his well-deserved award as Governor of the Year, 2024, courtesy of THISDAY/Arise News Board of Editors.
In a statement issued by him on Friday on behalf of the Board and Management of the Agency, Hon. Ejinyere said the Governor’s selection for the prestigious award was not a surprise in view of the numerous accolades that had trailed his style of governance since he assumed office.
This, Ejinyere said, was buttressed by the fact that another national influential newspaper, the Daily Independent, had also announced him as Governor of the Year 2024.
According to Ejinyere, the excellent works of the Governor earned him the titles of Mr. Continuity, and Mr. Project, surprising his critics, as he had performed beyond expectations by planting legacy projects on the sands of time, such as the storm water drainage and road projects in Warri, Uvwie and their environs, supervised by the Agency.
Okakuro Ejinyere prayed God to bless the Governor for the construction of three flyovers at DSC roundabout, PTI, DSC and Enerhen junctions in Effurun by Julius Berger as his landmark achievements.
He said the N78 billion projects, expected to be completed in twenty four months, had left the critics of the Governor speechless, while the accelerated work on the 139 – kilometer Asaba/Ughelli federal highway testified to his commitment to redeeming his campaign promises to Deltans.
The WUEDA DG said the Agency was fully ready to deliver on the Governor’s mandate of restoring the lost glory of the Oil City, and prayed God to grant him another 4-year tenure in office as Governor of Delta State.
