As the dawn of the year 2025 sets in, the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, has assured that the state will continue to make progress under the leadership of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.
Rt Hon Guwor in his goodwill message to Deltans on the new year celebration, sought unwavering commitment of every critical stakeholders to the state’s development agenda.
The Speaker, in the message issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Nkem Nwaeke, reaffirmed the State House of Assembly’s determination to support the Governor’s initiatives aimed at ensuring that every sector of the state benefitted from the ongoing transformation.
Guwor, who represents Warri South West in the House and is the National Treasurer Conference of Speakers of State Houses of Assembly in Nigeria, assured that infrastructure development, economic empowerment, social welfare and good governance would remain major priorities of the state government in 2025.
While expressing the implicit confidence of the Delta State House of Assembly in Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s ability to deliver on promises and drive sustainable development in the state, the Speaker prayed that the year 2025 should bring greater peace, prosperity, and happiness in the country.
He said, “as we bid farewell to 2024 and welcome a new year, I, on behalf of the Delta State House of Assembly, extend warmest greetings to all fellow Deltans and our loved ones.
“As your elected representatives, we remain committed to working tirelessly to promote the welfare and development of our dear state. We will continue to prioritize the needs of our citizens, foster economic growth, and ensure that Delta State remains a place of opportunity and prosperity for all.
“Let us embrace the spirit of hope, unity, and resilience that defines us as a people. May we continue to support one another, uplift those in need, and strive for a brighter future.
“Once again, I wish all Deltans a happy and prosperous New Year. May God bless Delta State”, Guwor stated.
