Police Officers, Men In Warri Hold End Of Year Get-Together, Receive WUEDA’s Commendation For Selfless Service

The Warri Area Commander, Officers and men of the Nigeria Police Force, on Sunday evening had their first ever end-of-year celebrations at the Police Officers Mess in Warri. 

In his opening prayers and exhortation, the Police Chaplain, Pastor Praise, urged officers and men of the Force to have a heart of gratitude to God for protecting them while carrying out their very challenging duty of providing security for lives and property. 

He said the purpose of the get-together was to thank God for His grace upon Police officers and men, and express love to one another towards achieving common goals and objectives through team work.

In his short opening speech on behalf of the Delta State Police Commissioner, the Warri Area Commander, ACP Dr. Graham Osaze Imade, thanked all those who attended the event for appreciating the Police. 

He thanked all Police officers and men within the Warri Area Command for putting their lives on the line for the sake of public security and safety.

The ceremony which also featured cultural dance displays and the rendition of new and old school music, was graced by DPOs, Captains of industry, and sectional heads of the Command. 

Others were Patrons of the Police Officers Mess, including Olorogun Johnbull Ejovi, Olorogun James Omeru, Chief Tunde Smooth, Okakuro Peter Asagba, as well as the Director General of the Warri, Uvwie and Environs Special Area Development Agency, (WUEDA), Hon. Prince Godwin Ejinyere, represented by his Senior Media Aide, Dr. Godwin Orhadahwe. 

The WUEDA DG thanked the Nigeria Police and all other security agencies within the Agency’s mandate areas for being partners in progress by providing security for the Agency’s staff and the contractors handling government projects under the supervision of WUEDA.
