Obi Dr Greg Oputa 111 Of Aboh Kingdom Meets With Council Of Chiefs, Constitutes Reconciliation Committee

OBI, DR GREG OPUTA 111  HOLDS END OF YEAR COUNCIL OF CHIEFS’  MEETING, SETS UP RECONCILIATiON COMMITTEE FOR AGGRIEVED PERSONS. 

To ensure peace and tranquility, the traditional ruler of Aboh Kingdom, His Imperial Majesty, Obi, Dr Greg Oputa 111 and the Aboh Council of Chiefs have approved the setting up of a Committee to reconcile all aggrieved persons in the kingdom. 

The Committee is headed by Prof Eddie Alumona, while other members would be appointed by His Imperial Majesty in due course. 

The appointment is contained in a 5 point communique issued by the Palace Secretary, Chief Amaechi Chime, at the end of the second and end of the year meeting between the king and his Council of Chiefs at the Royal Palace, Aboh  headquarters of Ndokwa East Local Government Area. 

The communiqué made it clear that the Reconciliation Committee would work assiduously to bring aggrieved parties together in the collective interest of peace and harmonious co-existence among the people, with a view to advancing the socio – economic and infrastructural development of the kingdom. 

The Council  of Chiefs meeting, which was presided over by His Imperial Majesty, Obi, Dr. Greg Oputa 111, also approved the appointment of Mr John Ugbome as the interim President of Aboh Youth Council in conjunction with Mr Onyenichie Ossai 

They will serve for three months within which they are expected to liaise with the King to fashion out a programne of action to produce a new executive for the youth council. 

Their appointment, according to the communique, took effect from Thursday, 19th December, 2024. 

The Council also approved the proposal to gazette all Aboh Chiefs, wherein all the Chiefs would be provided with a forms to fill out their personal data for proper documentation.

The Council also gave approval for the revalidation of the Olinzeles and their titles in line with the Delta State Traditional Chiefs Edit. 

Earlier, the traditional ruler tasked Council members to put aside their differences and work as a team for the collective good of the people, insisting that a lot of work needed to be done to uplift the living standards of residents of the kingdom.
