An Asaba community leader, Ogbueshi (Hon) Emeka Okolie Olagbor has asserted his commitment to ensuring unity and peaceful coexistence among indigenes of the Ogbeosowa village, Ugbomanta Quarters, and the Asaba community in general.

Ogbueshi Olagbor made the assertion while reacting to his alleged involvement in land-grabbing and other criminal activities within the community, stressing that his accusers were frustrated individuals.

The community leader said it had become ipetive to refute  the allegations by one Ogbueshi Madu Onwufuju so as to protect his good reputation within the community and beyond which he worked hard to earn over the years.

He recounted his humble beginnings from his days as a student at St Patrick’s College (SPC), Asaba to the Institute of Management Technology (IMT), Enugu, before he proceeded to become proficient in borehole drilling and then ventured into real estate; genuinely buying lands for friends and associates.

‘’I do not know of any case where I was accused of killing any person or taking anybody’s land. Onwufuju’s allegations are out of frustration. This is someone I help whenever he is hungry. Perhaps, he now believes that I am too rich and have nothing else to do with my money but to sponsor killings.

Hon Emeka Olagbo alleged that the brother to Ogbueshi Onwufuju (Obi Onwufuju) had threatened in a meeting that ‘’he will tell Ogbeosowa that he makes dangerous charms’’, alleging that Ogbueshi Onwufuju was the one  caught with charms on his way to bury them on Ogbesowa land and not him.

‘’I want people to ask Ogbueshi Madu Onwufuju if where he was caught with charms to bury is the road leading to Chukwuka’s house. Once he says yes, then he is innocent otherwise… He never knew that he would be caught’’, he said.

Ogbueshi Onwufuju had accused Ogbueshi Olagbor of murder cases particularly in land transactions, adding that he (Olagbor) made his money through such atrocities in the community.
