A renowned investment analyst, businessman and politician, Hon Peter Okolie, has been inducted to the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, MCArb.

This was at the 2024 annual investiture/awards ceremony of the institute which took place in Lagos recently.

Hon Okolie, who was among the 262 members inducted, said it was a great honour and a call to service to humanity in the area of alternative dispute resolution.

He noted that the institute, which was founded in 1979, had played significant roles in the training of Arbitrators and promotion of ADR as a reliable option for the resolution of disputes, stressing that it was cost effective and less cumbersome.

The inductee, who is the Executive Secretary of the Delta Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry Mines and Agriculture (DACCIMA), said Alternative Dispute Resolution was also the best and quickest way to settle business related problems. 

The Delta PDP faithful pledged to use his position as a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrator to improve and promote ADR whenever the opportunity to do so beckoned. 

In his remarks, the President and Chairman of Council, Nigerian Institute of Chartered Arbitrator, Prof Fabian Ajogwu, SAN, FCArb, congratulated the newly invested members and urged them to be good Ambassadors of the Institute 

The event featured the presentation of certificates to the newly inducted associates, members and fellows of the Institute, as well as the presentation of awards and prizes to deserving individuals and organisations.
