The Board, management and staff of the Delta State Waste Management Board have celebrated their Director of Administration and Human Resources, Mr. Steve Idogun, who has bowed out of the state civil service on retirement
It was a moment of reflections on the impact the retired Director made on the administration and human resource development of the Board as all who spoke on the occasion, which took place at the Board’s headquarters in Asaba, eulogized him.

Taking the lead, the Executive Chairman of the establishment, Hon Matthew Edema, appreciated Mr Idogun for his excellent service and dedication to duty, which were highly exemplary.
Hon Edema noted that the Board benefitted immensely from the expert advice of the Director as it concerned his department, adding that his wealth of experience was a great asset to the Board.
The Executive Chairman wished Mr Idogun the best of luck in his future endeavors and advised him to draw close to God for guidance, to his family and friends for necessary support, prioritize his health, be creative and innovative to be able to surmount the challenges of retirement life.

In their remarks, two members of the Board, Hon Felix Erhimedafe and Hon Cosmas Igbenije, praised Mr Idogun for his warm demeanor to service delivery and urged staff of the Board to emulate him.
Responding, Mr Idogun thanked the Executive Chairman, Board members, management and staff for the honour done him, saying that he never knew he was so loved by the Board’s family.

He sued for the sustenance of the cordial relationship between the political class and staff of the Board to ensure the realization of set goals and promised to continue to keep in touch with the family he once belonged to
The highlight of the occasion was the presentation of a gift to Mr Idogun.
