The Onishe of Ubulu-Uku, in Aniocha South lo government area of Delta State and Knight of St. Mulumba, (KSM), Chief Dr. Emma Ejiofor, has called on Christians not to undermine their culture and traditions.

Chief Ejiofor, made the call on Tuesday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, West End, Asaba, venue of the Conference of Diicesan Priests of the Catholic faith

He noted that some Christians had tended to look down on their culture and traditions, only to run to their Churches and pretend to be holier than everyone.

The Onishe said tradition was simply a generally accepted  way of life of a people, usually celebrated with pomp and pageantry, without necessarily being fetish about it, stressing that disrespect for tradition was tantamiunt to one standing against the beliefs of his people.

Chief Ejiofor thanked all who believed in tradition and had worked hard to promote it in their communities, describing them as patriots

He maintained that no one could be a good Christian without respecting the beliefs of others..
