MOF Congratulates Founder, Hon Obi Monu-Oduah Esq, On Birth Anniversary

The Monu-Oduah Foundation (MOF), has congratulated its Fonder, Hon Obi Chinwe Monu-Oduah Esq on her birth anniversary today, October 19.

The Foundation, in a message released to newsmen by the northern coordinator, Isa Musa, noted that the public and private life of Obi Chinwe Monu-Oduah had been impactful and devoted to service to her Asaba community and humanity in general.

The organisation stated that as a member of the Delta State House of Assembly, who represented the Oshimili South Constituency, Hon Monu-Oduah championed the enactment of the law to domesticate the Child Rights Act in Delta State.

It added that the celebrant, who was once a Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, ensured that female traders, drawn from the three senatorial districts of the state, were trained in business techniques and empowered to boost their trades.

MOF pointed out that as Chairman, Transition Committee of Oshimili South local government in 2012, when parts of the country witnessed unprecedented flooding, its Principal visited some of the victims and ensured that those affected in the LGA were not left out in the distribution of relief materials from the State and Federal Governments, as well as palliatives from the Subsidy Reinvestment and Empowerment Programme (SURE-P)..

The organization also recalled that Hon Obi Monu-Oduah, as President, Asaba Development Union (ADU) Home Based, Women’s Wing, devoted time to the sensitization of Asaba people during the COVID-19 era, which helped the community to stay safe while the deadly pandemic lasted.

The Foundation stated that Hon Obi Monu-Oduah, who also served as Special Assistant to former National Chairman of PDP, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur and Senior Legal Advisor to former Speaker, House of Representatives, Rt. Hon Femi Gbajabiamila, had remained a personality of note, even in the Corporate law practice.

Dwelling specifically on the vision and mission of the Foundation, the organisation commended Hon Obi Monu-Oduah for her passion for the well-being of the girl child, noting that she had traveled to the 36 states of the federation, visiting selected schools and awarding scholarships to brilliant but indigent female students.

MOF prayed God to grant its Founder, who holds the Olinzele title of Omeogor and also the prestigious Obi title of Asaba, good health and long life as she gets older.
