Former Governor of Delta State, Chief James Ibori, has been described as a quintessential personality who has carved a niche for himself as a national leader in the political space.
An ally of the ex-Governor, Mr. Paul Owumi, stated this in a congratulatory message to the ODIDIGBOIGBO of the universe, on the occasion of his 66th birth anniversary.
Mr. Owumi noted that Ibori popularized himself with his strong character, ambience that trialed him wherever he was, accessibility, sense of humor, generosity and detribalized nature.
He said the role of the ex-Governor in building bridges of peace among the diverse ethnic groups in the state would not be forgotten in a hurry, recalling that the Warri crisis erupted just as Chief Ibori assumed office as Governor and he moved quickly to initiate reconciliation between the parties, which led to peaceful coexistence.
Mr. Owumi said Ibori would also continue to be remembered for laying the foundation of infrastructural and human capital development, which had since been consolidated by successive administrations for the greater good of the state and Deltans
He prayed God to continue to grant Chief Ibori good health, strength and wherewithal for greater relevance to the state, the nation and humanity.
