Persons who have left their ancestral homes for the cities in search of greener pastures and better living conditions have been reminded that there is no place like home.

The Chief of Staff to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State, Hon Prince Johnson Erijo, made the remark when a delegation of the Aviara Community Development Association, Asaba branch, paid him a courtesy visit at Government House, Asaba

Hon Erijo said while it was proper and appropriate for people to migrate to places of their choice, it was equally more important that they should always remember their roots and think home.

He commended sons and daughters of Aviara kingdom resident in Asaba for appreciating the need to form a branch of Aviara Community Development Association for monthly meetings, regular interactions and contributions to community development.

The Chief of Staff advised the Asaba branch to remain united and focused, adding that it should always identify with the parent body and seek ways of encouraging those yet to be members to join the droup.

He applauded the Association for its efforts at promoting love and unity among members and for forming a cooperative society aimed at improving the well-being of members and advised the body to seek ways of benefitting from the various empowerment programmes of government.

Hon Erijo, while thanking the Association for the visit, congratulated the new executive on their successful emergence and pledged support for the vision of the organisation

Earlier, the leader of the delegation and Chairman of the Association, Mr Churchill Oviomo, said the visit was to familiarize the Chief of Staff with the newly elected executive of the body and to solicit his support.

He told Hon Erijo that the Association had formed a cooperative society and urged him to assist in enlisting eligible sons and daughters of Aviara, especially members of the Association, in the empowerment programmes of government, either as individuals or as a group
